Tjänsten visar om en person är en så kallad politiskt exponerad person (PEP), släkting eller nära medarbetare (RCA) till en PEP. Vi erbjuder verifiering mot den mest omfattande och uppdaterade PEP-listan i världen.
Politiskt exponerade personer (PEP) betraktas ofta som "högriskpersoner" av finansinstitut på grund av deras potential att utsättas för mutor och korruptionsförsök. Finansinstitut är inte förbjudna att öppna konton för personer som återfinns på PEP-listor. Penningtvättslagen har dock strikta regler och processkrav på finansinstitut för att upptäcka och notera PEP-status på grund av de risker som finns.
