Denne tjenesten viser om en person er en såkalt politisk eksponert person (PEP), eller en slektning eller nærstående (RCA) til en PEP på globalt nivå. Vi tilbyr verifisering mot den mest omfattende og oppdaterte PEP-listen i verden.
Politisk eksponerte personer (PEP) blir klasset som "høyrisiko" av finansinstitusjoner da de er ekstra utsatte for bestikkelser og korrupsjonsforsøk. Finansinstitusjoner har ikke forbud mot å åpne kontoer for PEP-er. Hvitvaskingsloven har imidlertid strenge regler og prosesskrav for at finansinstitusjoner skal oppdage og notere PEP-status på grunn av risikoene som eksisterer.
